Experience XR, tell the future: MUNICH BEYOND turns Munich into a playground for immersive art and new forms of storytelling as a program track of Festival der Zukunft and Filmfest München. International artists present award-winning VR films, interactive installations, and performances across more than 500 m² – many of them recognized in Cannes, Venice, or at SXSW. MUNICH BEYOND is a collaboration between Festival der Zukunft, Filmfest München, XR HUB Bavaria, Residenztheater, and FilmFernsehFonds Bayern. In our Experience Area, you can experience the future through art and tech demos: with prototypes as well as artistic works, we take you into the world of future energy, matching our program track as part of the Science Year 2025. We show how art engages with biodiversity protection, which exciting ideas emerge at the intersection of science, art, and design, and present the latest space technology and the future of aviation.
