November 2025 um 12:42:56 Michael Förtsch Ein ehemaliger Ingenieur des Robotik-Start-ups Figure AI erhebt schwere Vorwürfe gegen seinen ehemaligen Arbeitgeber. Wie CNBC berichtet , soll Robert Gruendel, der für die System- und Nutzungssicherheit mitverantwortlich war, das Unternehmen im September unter anderem davor gewarnt haben, dass es bei den entwickelten humanoiden Robotern Figure 02 und 03 an Sicherheitsvorkehrungen fehle. Dies könne durchaus fatale Folgen haben, denn die Roboter seien „kräftig genug, um Schädel zu brechen“. Laut Grüdel gibt es für seine Aussagen genug Anhaltspunkte und Beweise. Ein Beispiel sei ein Vorfall, bei dem ein Roboter einen Figure-AI-Angestellten bei einer Fehlfunktion nur knapp verpasste und in einer Stahltür eine zentimetertiefe Beule hinterließ. Wenige Tage, nachdem Gruendel seine Vorgesetzten informierte, soll er plötzlich entlassen worden sein. Angeblich wegen schlechter Leistung. Dagegen hat Gruendel nun geklagt, da er seine Kündigung für ungerechtfertigt hält. Der Ingenieur sagt, er wolle auf die Risiken aufmerksam machen, bevor sie zu ernsthaften Folgen führen. Durch die vielen Baufahrzeuge und LKWs soll die Zahl der Unfälle auf den Straßen bereits um 600 Prozent gestiegen sein. Laut dem Louisiana Illuminator kam es dadurch bereits zur zeitweisen Schließung eines Spielplatzes der lokalen Schule, da es zu drei Beinaheunfällen kam . Neben der Verkehrslage melden mehrere Einwohner, dass ihr Wasser plötzlich verschmutzt und rostbraun aus dem Wasserhahn und der Dusche kommt. Zudem kam es mehrfach zu Stromausfällen, da das Stromnetz durch die Baustelle überlastet wird. Die rund 1.000 Einwohner beklagen sich weiterhin über mangelnde Informationen und darüber, dass die Planer, Arbeiter und Fahrer nicht zur Verantwortung gezogen werden.
