The long-heralded XR revolution hasn’t quite arrived – and yet, the medium continues to evolve. Virtual, augmented, and mixed reality technologies are advancing steadily, and so are the creative possibilities: from immersive theater and interactive storytelling to new forms of shared presence and artistic experimentation.
In this session, we look beyond the hype cycles and ask: What can XR become as a cultural and collaborative space? How are artists and creators shaping the future of this medium – not just as a tech demo, but as a meaningful form of human expression? With leading voices from Germany and abroad, we’ll explore how XR can move from niche to relevance, and what it will take to get there.
