Laura Schulz

Laura Schulz is the acting head of the Quantum Computing and Technologies department at LRZ. She also drives strategic development at the Leibniz Supercomputing Centre (LRZ) in Garching, Germany in the fields of future-oriented computer technologies, particularly exascale, artificial intelligence, and quantum computing. Laura was the lead author on LRZ's quantum strategic plan and is co-founder of the regional networking and tech scouting entity, Bavarian Quantum Computing eXchange (BQCX). Prior to joining LRZ in August 2017, she was Director of Marketing Communications at the HPC Innovation Center at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory in the US.

Laura Schulz ist die Leiterin (interim) der Abteilung Quantencomputer und -technologien am LRZ. Darüber hinaus treibt sie die strategische Entwicklung des Leibniz-Rechenzentrums (LRZ) in Garching in den Bereichen zukunftsorientierte Computertechnologien, insbesondere Exascale, künstliche Intelligenz und Quantencomputing, voran. Laura war die Hauptautorin des strategischen Quantenplans des LRZ und ist Mitbegründerin des regionalen Netzwerks und Tech Scouting Veranstaltung Bavarian Quantum Computing eXchange (BQCX). Bevor sie im August 2017 zum LRZ kam, war sie Direktorin für Marketingkommunikation im HPC Innovation Center am Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory in den USA.
