A double world model with an outside world and an inside world. The possibilities of extended reality are brought into play here with the utmost accuracy in order to depict a reality that reveals itself to be supermaterial at its core. World models are tools that visualise connections that are ungraspable on the original scale. Situations can be created in the model that cannot be accessed in so-called physical reality. They can also be used to predict effects and consequences that are equivalent to a glimpse into the future. They open a third eye. The external appearance of 3rd Eye is a world model made of transparent spheres. A room-filling virtual sculpture that celebrates the omnipresence of the pi factor with its configuration. The sculpture is made visible with an XR headset. You can enter the interior of the virtual sculpture through the virtual outer shapes. This opens up a boundless, starry night sky all around, an astronomical universe in the centre of which the people entering seem to float. They are surrounded by whirling signs that evoke strong associative meanings. When called upon, they approach and combine to form a personal oracle for the visitor. A voice in the headset interactively instructs the steps of the procedure. Visitors can reach for the oracle signs and return to the familiar world with them from outer space and the world model. PAPILIO addresses these issues with an innovative design that combines an insect-friendly light spectrum with a built-in wind rotor to generate renewable energy, reducing both light pollution and indirect greenhouse gas emissions. The streetlight uses a Savonius rotor, which captures both vertical and horizontal airflows, ensuring reliable energy generation regardless of wind direction. This energy is stored in a rechargeable battery, allowing PAPILIO to operate autonomously without costly underground power connections. Alternatively, it can feed surplus energy into the grid during strong winds. PAPILIO minimizes light pollution with a light-shielding “full-cut-off” design that directs light downward, an infrared sensor that activates the light only when needed, and a warm 2700 Kelvin spectrum that is less harmful to insects. The work is based on the research project “Techno-Anima”, which explores so-called multi-agent systems. These are AI programs that collaborate to accomplish tasks. It serves as a simulation environment for negotiation processes involving groups comprising both human and non-human actors. On four screens, four virtual figures encounter one another. They exchange ideas, ask questions, and try to solve problems together. They almost seem human: with their own voices, ways of thinking, and little quirks. The installation demonstrates how artificial intelligence can now think collaboratively in a team. Through the interaction of the figures, a space full of new questions emerges: How similar are these digital beings to us? What do they reveal about our thinking, our language, our creativity—and what role does the human play in all of this? The aim is to address the anthropomorphism of AI and its social role. To develop the multi-agent system, a three-part interdisciplinary series of events will be held using participatory innovation methods to generate new ideas and approaches. Ein neuer CEO soll das jetzt offenbar ändern. Denn die bisherige Leiterin Jay Graber verlässt ihre Führungsposition. Künftig will sie für die technische Weiterentwicklung und Innovationen bei Bluesky verantwortlich sein. Bis ein neuer, dauerhafter CEO gefunden ist, soll Toni Schneider die Position übernehmen. Bislang war diese Einstufung nur für ausländische Unternehmen vorgesehen, deren Produkte das Risiko bergen, die US-Infrastruktur oder die Verteidigungskapazitäten zu schädigen oder für Spionage benutzt zu werden. Das will das US-Unternehmen nicht akzeptieren und hat angekündigt, die Einstufung anzufechten. Denn das würde auch bedeuten, dass zahlreiche Zulieferer des US-Militärs und US-Behörden nicht mit den Claude-KIs arbeiten dürfen. „Wir halten diese Maßnahme für rechtlich nicht haltbar und sehen keine andere Möglichkeit, als sie vor Gericht anzufechten“, so Anthropic-Chef Dario Amodei. Die entsprechende Klage wurde am Montag in Kalifornien eingereicht . „Die Verfassung erlaubt es der Regierung nicht, ihre enorme Macht einzusetzen, um ein Unternehmen für seine geschützte Meinungsäußerung zu bestrafen“, heißt es in der Klageschrift. Denn wie die beiden schwedischen Zeitungen Svenska Dagbladet und Göteborgs-Posten aufdeckten , lässt das Unternehmen schlecht bezahlte Digitalarbeiter in Kenia die von den gehypten Meta-Ray-Ban- und Oakley-Smartglasses aufgenommenen Videoinhalte auswerten und mit Stichworten und Inhaltsbeschreibungen annotieren. Dadurch können die Daten etwa zum Training von KI-Modellen genutzt werden. Vielen Kunden ist das offenbar nicht klar. Denn die Videos, die die Clickworker zu sehen bekommen, sind nämlich nicht selten sehr intim. Laut der Recherche der beiden Zeitungen zeigen die Videos unter anderem Toilettengänge, sexuelle Interaktionen und klar erkennbare private Informationen wie Personal- und Bankdaten. Zwar sollen Gesichter automatisch verpixelt werden, doch dies funktioniere nicht zuverlässig. Am vergangenen Donnerstag wurde in San Francisco durch die Kanzlei Clarkson Law Firm bereits eine erste Klage gegen Meta eingereicht , die nicht nur die Verletzung von Privatsphäre und Datenschutz, sondern auch irreführende Werbung bemängelt. März 2026 um 16:31:42 Michael Förtsch Das vor 20 Jahren von Bill Gates gegründete Kernkraft-Start-up TerraPower hat von der US-Behörde Nuclear Regulatory Commission NRC die offizielle Genehmigung für den Bau eines konzeptuell neuartigen Kernkraftwerks erhalten . Im Gegensatz zu herkömmlichen Kernkraftwerken, die Wasser als Wärmeträger verwenden, kommt bei dem neuen Konzept flüssiges Natrium zum Einsatz. Dadurch lässt sich das Kraftwerk auch bei niedrigem Druck betreiben und im Falle eines Notfalls deutlich schneller und ohne komplexe Pumpsysteme kühlen. Die erzeugte Wärmeenergie soll in einem Flüssigsalzbehälter gespeichert werden, um eine flexible Netzeinspeisung zu ermöglichen. Als Standort für das 345-Megawatt-Kraftwerk wurde Kemmerer in Wyoming ausgewählt. In der Stadt befindet sich bereits ein Kohlekraftwerk, das in den kommenden Jahren stillgelegt werden soll. Der Bau kann praktisch sofort beginnen. Die Inbetriebnahme ist für das Jahr 2031 geplant. Die Baukosten für das Kernkraftwerk werden auf vier Milliarden US-Dollar geschätzt.
