This session offers an introduction into Bavaria’s rapidly growing XR ecosystem – now gaining momentum through the launch of MUNICH Beyond. As a new joint initiative by Festival der Zukunft, Filmfest München, XR HUB Bavaria, Residenztheater, and FFF Bayern, MUNICH Beyond showcases groundbreaking XR art from around the world and positions Munich as a global stage for immersive media.

In this networking session, key players from the region will outline who is shaping the XR scene, how public and institutional support fuels innovation, and what strategic steps lie ahead to further expand Bavaria’s role as a hub for creative and technological excellence in XR.
