LUMINESCENCE – An Interactive Mixed Reality Experience

Created by artists Anke Schiemann, /p, and She’s Excited!, LUMINESCENCE is an immersive Mixed Reality music performance that lets the audience dive into the ocean – both literally and metaphorically. Using an Augmented Reality app, participants follow the path of marine currents, encountering life in the deep sea while confronting the impact of ocean pollution. As species are forced to relocate or face extinction, the piece explores the fragile interdependence of marine ecosystems and human survival. Live music and audience-triggered sounds blend into a collective, real-time experience. At the Festival der Zukunft, the project expands with a full-dome installation in the Planetarium, intensifying its sensory and emotional depth.
