Practical training and certification from a distance - enhanced by augmented reality

Imagine you are on the board of a car manufacturer and get the news that 60.000 vehicles have to be recalled just because a small solder joint was not done properly. Underlying this, is a shortage of skilled workers, which is driven by a lack of professional practical training and a lack of trainers.

In this talk, you will learn how to turn your company into a training center with the development of the Mobile Learning Hub (MLH) by Fraunhofer EMFT specialist. With support of Augmented Reality (AR) the trainer can now efficiently supervise at a distance.

In an ongoing collaboration with TNO we allowe to blend remote participants into the real world environment. A high social presence, natural communication and high motivation during the training is the consequence. With this technology we can prevent costly callbacks by skilled workers all over the world.
