Unser Partner-Event: Laser World of Photonics 2025 – die ganze Bandbreite der Photonik

Für Tech-Interessierte, die sich schon aufs Festival der Zukunft freuen, bietet München auch schon eine Woche vorher ein Event-Highlight: Die neuesten Trends und Innovationen der Photonik stehen wieder im Mittelpunkt der Laser World of Photonics, die das nächste Mal vom 24. bis 27. Juni 2025 auf dem Münchner Messegelände stattfindet. Der begleitende Laser World of Photonics Congress startet bereits am 22. Juni und bringt zwei Nobelpreisträger nach München. Spannende Mehrwerte und ein Blick über den Tellerrand ergeben sich auch durch die beiden Parallelveranstaltungen World of Quantum und automatica. 

Die Photonik ist eine Schlüsseltechnologie, die sich die einzigartigen Eigenschaften des Lichts zunutze macht, z.B. mit Lasern, LEDs, Displays, OLEDs oder optischen Produkten. Es gibt kaum mehr eine Branche, die ohne das Werkzeug Licht auskommt: von der industriellen Fertigung und Elektromobilität über die Medizin und Messtechnik bis hin zur Datenspeicherung und Telekommunikation. Die Laser World of Photonics ist seit über 50 Jahren die weltweit führende Plattform für die Laser- und Photonikindustrie. Sie ist die einzige Messe, die die ganze Bandbreite der Photonik zeigt, von der Forschung über die Technologien bis hin zu den konkreten Anwendungen. „Alle Keyplayer der Branche haben zugesagt, wir füllen wieder fünf Hallen mit elf Ausstellungsbereichen. Wie gewohnt wird die LASER wieder sehr international, mit Ausstellern aus 43 Ländern und Regionen sowie 16 nationalen und internationalen Gemeinschaftsständen“, freut sich Projektleiterin Anke Odouli.

Expertenwissen und junge Talente

Wie vielfältig die Anwendungsfelder der Photonik sind, spiegelt auch das Rahmenprogramm der Messe wider. In vier Foren mit praxisnahen Vorträgen, in Diskussionsrunden und im direkten Austausch, etwa bei den Guided Tours oder der Sonderschau „Photons in Production“, vermittelt es Expertenwissen zu allen Einsatzgebieten der Technologie. Der Innovation Award bietet Firmen und vor allem Start-ups eine Bühne für ihre Neuheiten. Im Career Center bekommen Nachwuchstalente Informationen zu Berufsperspektiven und Karrieremöglichkeiten in der Branche.

Tiefe Einblicke in die Photonik-Forschung

Mit Anne L’Huillier und Ferenc Krausz werden auf dem World of Photonics Congress 2025 gleich zwei Physik-Nobelpreisträger vertreten sein. Auf Europas größtem Photonikkongress trifft sich alle zwei Jahre die internationale Wissenschaftselite der Branche, um über alle Aspekte der Photonik zu sprechen – von neuesten Forschungsergebnissen bis hin zu innovativen industriellen Anwendungen. 2025 vereint er unter seinem Dach fünf Einzelkonferenzen: Die Größte ist die CLEO®/Europe-EQEC, die alle Facetten optischer Technologien und Photonik im Bereich der Grundlagenforschung adressiert. Hinzu kommen vier Konferenzen, die sich auf die anwendungsnahe Wissenschaft fokussieren, nämlich die LiM – Lasers in Manufacturing, Digital Optical Technologies, Optical Metrology sowie die ECBO – European Conferences on Biomedical Optics.

Ein Ticket – drei Messen

Zwei Parallelmessen ergänzen das Angebot der Laser World of Photonics und sorgen für Mehrwerte und neue Impulse: Während die World of Quantum die Einsatzpotenziale der Quantentechnologie beleuchtet, dreht sich bei der automatica alles um Automation und Robotik. Zwischen der Automatisierung- und Laserindustrie gibt es bereits zahlreiche Überschneidungen, die Quantentechnologie birgt besonders für industrielle Anwendungen enormes Potenzial, etwa durch die angestrebte Leistungsfähigkeit von Quantencomputern. Mit einem Messeticket erhalten die Besucher automatisch Zutritt zu den jeweils anderen beiden Veranstaltungen.

Laser World of Photonics 2025 showcases the entire spectrum of photonics

For tech enthusiasts already looking forward to Festival der Zukunft, Munich offers another event highlight a week in advance. The latest trends and innovations in photonics will once again be the focus of Laser World of Photonics, which will next take place at the Munich Exhibition Center from June 24 to 27, 2025. The accompanying Laser World of Photonics Congress starts on June 22 and will bring two Nobel Prize winners to Munich. The two parallel events World of Quantum and automatica also offer exciting added value and a view outside the box. 

Photonics is a key technology that makes use of the unique properties of light, e.g. with lasers, LEDs, displays, OLEDs and optical products. Hardly any industry can do without light as a tool: from industrial production and electromobility to medicine, measurement technology, data storage and telecommunications. Laser World of Photonics has been the world's leading platform for the laser and photonics industry for over 50 years. It is the only trade fair that showcases the entire spectrum of photonics, from research and technologies to specific applications. "All key players in the industry have already confirmed their participation. We will once again fill five halls with eleven exhibition areas. As usual, LASER will once again be very international, with exhibitors from 43 countries and regions as well as 16 national and international joint stands," says Exhibition Director Anke Odouli.

Expert knowledge and young talent

The trade fair's supporting program also reflects just how diverse the fields of application for photonics are. In four forums with practical presentations, in discussion rounds and in direct exchange, for example during the guided tours or the special show "Photons in Production", it provides expert knowledge on all areas of application for the technology. The Innovation Award offers companies and, above all, start-ups a stage for their innovations. The Career Center provides young talents with information on job prospects and career opportunities in the industry.

Deep insights into photonics research

With Anne L'Huillier and Ferenc Krausz, two Nobel Prize winners in physics will be represented at the World of Photonics Congress 2025. Europe's largest photonics congress brings together the industry's international scientific elite every two years to discuss all aspects of photonics - from the latest research findings to innovative industrial applications. In 2025, it will bring together five individual conferences under one roof: The largest is CLEO®/Europe-EQEC, which addresses all facets of optical technologies and photonics in the field of basic research. There are also four conferences that focus on application-oriented science, namely LiM - Lasers in Manufacturing, Digital Optical Technologies, Optical Metrology and the ECBO - European Conferences on Biomedical Optics

One ticket - three trade fairs

Two trade fairs taking place in parallel complement what Laser World of Photonics has to offer and provide added value and new impetus: while the World of Quantum highlights the application potential of quantum technology, automatica is all about automation and robotics. There are already numerous overlaps between the automation and laser industries, and quantum technology holds enormous potential for industrial applications, for example through the targeted performance of quantum computers. With one trade fair ticket, visitors automatically have access to the other two events.
