Thomas Lange

Thomas operates where strategy, innovation, and capital, collide. Trained as an economist, he began his career at the ifo Institute for Economic Research before stepping into a leadership role at acatech, Germany’s National Academy of Science and Engineering. He later played a key role in establishing the German Cyber Agency as its founding Chief Strategy Officer, helping shape a new model for defense innovation inspired by DARPA. Thomas served as Sherpa to the Federal Chancellor’s Future Council and is a member of the World Economic Forum’s Expert Network. At Achleitner Ventures, he focuses on investments in high-impact technology startups. He holds a PhD in Economics, and is certified as both a Private Equity Analyst and an Independent Board Director.
