Dr. Stefan Walter studied physics both at Würzburg and Stony Brook. He earned his PhD in theoretical quantum physics from the University of Würzburg. Following his doctoral studies, he held PostDoc positions at the University of Basel and the Max Planck Institute for the Science of Light in Erlangen.
For four years, Dr. Walter worked as a project manager in the automotive industry, where he focused on machine learning applications.
Recognizing his passion for cutting-edge technologies, he joined Fujitsu, where he currently is a Quantum Senior Consultant and Researcher. At Fujitsu, Stefan helps clients comprehend and evaluate the potential of quantum and quantum-inspired technologies, particularly for addressing real-world optimization problems, providing innovative solutions for practical challenges. He is also recognized as a Fujitsu Distinguished Engineer.
