Sandra Vengadasalam

Sandra Vengadasalam is Deputy Director of the Max Planck Digital Library at Max Planck Information & Technology and Co-Founder of bloxberg, the world's largest public blockchain governed and operated exclusively by research institutions. Originally trained as a scientist, she earned her PhD in Epigenetics before helping shape the next generation of digital research infrastructures. For more than seven years, she has been working at the intersection of science, blockchain, AI, and digital governance, building trusted digital ecosystems for the international research community. Sandra regularly advises international initiatives, speaks at conferences across Europe, and is passionate about translating emerging technologies into real-world societal impact. She believes that the next generation of AI will depend not only on intelligence, but also on trust.
