I am the founder and Head of Content at Lumium and have been working for years on innovative learning formats in transformation processes. Together with my team, I develop virtual reality-based trainings that specifically prepare leaders and teams for change in complex and volatile situations. Our approach: experiential learning. In virtual scenarios, participants can experience first-hand what change feels like and what role they play in it. This creates practical experiences that can be directly transferred to everyday work.

For MTU Aero Engines, we have conducted over 140 VR workshops in which more than 1,200 managers were able to experience a new, collaborative corporate culture. Our goal was to prepare leaders for the demands of a changed business model and to make the cultural transformation within the company tangible.

In addition to such large-scale projects, we regularly conduct leadership trainings. Companies use our formats to specifically prepare their top managers for a complex and volatile future. We also offer team trainings supported by health insurance providers, which help teams sustainably increase their performance through targeted resilience development.

With the research project DaTeamVR, we at Lumium are taking another step forward. Together with the Augsburg University of Applied Sciences, we are developing an AI-based method to make team processes and stress factors visible in virtual reality. For this purpose, we anonymously collect movement, speech, and eye-tracking data in VR environments and analyze them using artificial intelligence algorithms. Our goal is to objectively measure team dynamics, communication, and stress, and to derive concrete recommendations for practice.
