Laura Weisenburger

Laura Weisenburger studied medicine at the Charité in Berlin where she also earned her doctorate. She continued her specialisation in visceral surgery at the München Klinik Neuperlach. In 2019 she successfully completed her training and passed the board certification exam at the Bavarian State Medical Association. The same year she traded scalpel for keyboard and began working as a journalist on the editorial staff of "Apotheken Umschau". She writes for all of the publisher’s magazines and online portals and is a member of the fact-checking scientific editorial team. While working she completed a master’s degree in digital journalism at the Hamburg Media School in 2023. Alternating with Dr. Dennis Ballwieser, she hosts the award winning daily podcast “’ne Dosis Wissen,” which provides young professionals in the healthcare sector with uptodate news.
