Korbinian Kringer

Korbinian Kringer works for the Geodata Service of the City of Munich. As head of the Urban Data Platform Team, it is his role is to enable fact-based decision-making and communication processes supported by spatial data. This also includes the Digital Twin Munich, a digital representation of the city that is the heart of Munich‘s Smart City approach. It enables the Bavarian capitol to address the urban challenges with innovative solutions. With the help of the Digital Twin, for example, innovative mobility concepts, sustainable urban development, and measures for climate protection and climate adaptation are efficiently supported.

Korbinian Kringer arbeitet für den GeodatenService der Landeshauptstadt München. Als Leiter des Sachgebiets Urban Data Platform ist es seine Aufgabe räumliche Daten für faktenbasierte Entscheidungs- und Kommunikationsprozesse in Szene zu setzen. Dazu zählt auch der Digitale Zwilling München, das als digitales Abbild der Stadt das Herzstück der Smart City München darstellt. Damit begegnet die bayerische Landeshauptstadt aktuellen Herausforderungen der Stadt mit innovativen Lösungen. Mit Hilfe des Digitalen Zwillings werden beispielsweise innovative Mobilitätskonzepte, eine nachhaltige Stadtentwicklung oder Maßnahmen zum Klimaschutz und zur Klimaanpassung effizient unterstützt.
