Her approach is rooted in asking better questions, enabling open dialogue, and empowering people at every level—from the EU to local communities.
With a career spanning public affairs, regulatory expertise, and deep energy market insight, Constanze brings a visionary, hands-on approach to one of the greatest challenges of our time: the energy transition. To her, this isn’t just a technical transformation—it’s a moonshot. A bold societal mission that demands fresh thinking, courageous design, and inclusive collaboration.

A trained banker with academic roots in Germany, France, and Denmark, she completed her PhD on European parliamentary networks. Her path led her to Brussels, where she spent over 16 years navigating EU institutions and shaping climate, energy, and sustainability policy—holding leadership roles such as Secretary General of EUFED and Executive Director of Green Budget Europe.

From Brussels to Berlin, her focus shifted to practical innovation: as Head of Business Development at an energy storage start-up, and later as Managing Director and Senior Partner in two leading consultancies. In 2024, she joined items GmbH & Co. KG to build and lead the Strategy & Knowledge division, serving as a key translator between regulation and municipal energy practice.
