Alessandro Alviani is the Product Lead for Natural Language Processing at Ippen Digital in Germany. He leads a team that includes one of the first AI prompt editors in a European newsroom and is tasked with designing and building responsible AI-powered editorial tools. He worked as the Germany correspondent for the Italian newspaper La Stampa for around seven years before joining Microsoft News as the Editorial Coordinator for the MSN Hub in Berlin. He has been closely following the field of AI in journalism since 2020, coinciding with the release of GPT-3.
