Juli 2025 um 12:44:36 Michael Förtsch Die Marktmacht von Google bei der Websuche beruht nicht nur auf der Qualität der Suchergebnisse, sondern auch auf den Voreinstellungen in Browsern wie Safari, Firefox oder dem Samsung Browser. Diese werden von Google mit Anteilen an Werbeeinnahmen erkauft – und könnten verboten werden, wenn Google in einem aktuellen Kartellverfahren verliert. Wie der Firefox-Entwickler Mozilla Foundation nun warnt , könnte das jedoch auch Nebenwirkungen haben. Denn ohne die Zahlungen von Google könnte dem gemeinnützigen Unternehmen schnell der Bankrott drohen. Die Suchplatzierung im Firefox-Browser macht rund 80 Prozent des Jahresumsatzes aus. Ohne diese Einnahmen wäre die Weiterentwicklung des Firefox-Browsers stark gefährdet. Es könnte sogar zu dessen Einstellung führen. Dies wiederum würde die Vielfalt auf dem Browsermarkt gefährden, der derzeit mit Chrome ebenfalls von Google dominiert wird. Das aktuelle Starship geht in Rente Future Feed Das aktuelle Starship geht in Rente 14. Oktober 2025 um 22:26:42 Michael Förtsch Am Dienstagmorgen deutscher Zeit führte SpaceX den inzwischen elften Probeflug seines Starship durch . Das Riesenraumschiff erreichte den niedrigen Erdorbit, probte das Aussetzen mehrerer Satelliten und kehrte dann nach einer Stunde zurück. Die Oberstufe landete im Indischen Ozean, die Raketenstufe im Golf von Mexiko. Laut SpaceX war dieser Test weitgehend erfolgreich und der letzte für die aktuelle Iteration des Starship. Bei den nächsten Starts soll eine stark überarbeitete und verbesserte Version des Starship-Konzepts zum Einsatz kommen. Dabei sollen die bisherigen Mängel und Risiken behoben worden sein. Ebenso sollen die Triebwerke mehr Leistung entwickeln. Bis dahin wird es jedoch noch dauern. Der erste Flug der Starship-Version 3 soll frühestens im Frühjahr 2026 stattfinden. Dezember 2025 um 12:17:00 Michael Förtsch Das Unternehmen Meta ist für vieles bekannt, aber nicht gerade für gutes Design, Innovation und Einfallsreichtum. Der ehemalige Apple-Designer Alan Dye, der unter anderem für die umstrittene Liquid-Glass-Optik verantwortlich ist, soll das nun ändern. Wie Mark Zuckerberg auf Threads angekündigt hat , wird Dye ein neues Designstudio innerhalb von Meta leiten. Dieses soll in der Forschungs- und Entwicklungsabteilung Reality Labs angesiedelt sein, in der auch die VR- und Smart-Glasses-Initiativen von Meta gebündelt sind. Das Designstudio soll in den Bereichen Design, Kleidung und Technologie tätig sein und „die nächste Generation unserer Produkte und Erfahrungen definieren“, so Zuckerberg. Laut Dye selbst werde er sowohl an Hardware als auch Software arbeiten, eine neue Designsprache entwickeln und „die Zukunft intelligenter Produkte“ mitgestalten . Das bedeutet unter anderem eine konkrete Weiterentwicklung der gemeinsam mit Ray-Ban entwickelten Smartglasses. Recently his projects have received global media coverage in print, radio and TV. Posters is a published author on the subjects of subvertising, protest art and computational propaganda. His latest book is due for release by Laurence King in Spring 2020. His work is held in both public and private collections.
